Methodology
It is a part of our mission to promote and assist in establishing such groups in African-American communities.  This design provides a basic structure for forming a marriage support group in a parish setting.  It would eventually link several groups through a network that would provide resources and training.  The network would process evaluations, develop outlines, conduct presenters' workshops, and publish a newsletter to keep members abreast of issues pertinent to Christian marriage and family life.

We propose that parishes begin a process that will cause a greater sense of PEPP to the marriages in their congregations.  This process has three phases:

Phase One:     Incorporate into the mission of the parish a high sense of value for marriage.  Make the value evident in the liturgies, homilies and catechesis.

Phase Two:     Provide an enrichment experience for married couples in the parish that will give impetus to further efforts to marriage ministry.

Phase Three:     Establish a parish-based marriage support group.
