  • Persons of similar circumstances can provide social support to each other.

  • Increased stability in the marriage will foster greater leadership in families with children.

  • With greater leadership in families with children, many existing maladies present among African-American families will be positively affected.

  • Families headed by a thriving, healthy, sacramental marriage have greater capacities to be involved in activities that benefit the community.

  • Families headed by a thriving, healthy, sacramental marriage are less likely to need instrumental support from the government, church and community.

  • Children from families headed by a thriving, healthy, sacramental marriage are less likely to be involved with drugs, gangs and adolescent pregnancies.

  • Children from families headed by a thriving, healthy, sacramental marriage have more positive role models.  Therefore, they are more likely to have better mate selection and continue the positive trend.
