Families headed by a thriving, healthy, sacramental marriage are less likely to need instrumental support from the government, church and community. Children from families headed by a thriving, healthy, sacramental marriage are less likely to be involved with drugs, gangs and adolescent pregnancies. Children from families headed by a thriving, healthy, sacramental marriage have more positive role models. Therefore, they are more likely to have better mate selection and continue the positive trend.
